Our program is designed to help young men between the ages of 17 and 24 who are transitioning from home or treatment programs to independent living. We specialize in working with youth struggling with challenges such as Aspbergers, learning disabilities, ADHD and ADD, and those that need the extra support to succeed.
Because of the many opportunities available in our area, Step Beyond is the ideal option for youth who want to attend a university, trade school, or jump into the job market. Utah Valley State College (UVSC), soon to be Utah Valley University (UVU), offers bachelors and associates degrees in many fields and is located only half a mile from the Step Beyond home. The Mountainland Applied Technology College (MATC) is also within walking distance of the Transitional Living Center. It provides vocational and technical training in both classroom and apprenticeship settings. In addition to these fine educational opportunities, Orem boasts a low unemployment rate (2.4%) with plenty of work available to the prospective employee. |
